I guess they have deleted my comments long ago, which was posted on 10th Jan 2018. Posted this frustrating complaint again to remind those who is going to take their lousy shitty services. Read first before you become another victim like my case.
So, the chronology of my case is like this...
I've been sent my washing machine to them for repair since 10th Oct 2017, and they have repaired within 4 days. I've paid for around RM500 to get it repaired for the sensor and drum gears sort of thingy. The delivered back on 14th Oct. Well that's consider fast before they have receiving the payment from me.
After roughly less than 2 months using it, it is no long working again. Called them back to check since they provide warranty for 1 year on the same machine they serviced. They have collected the machine back to service on 22nd Dec 2017.
Yet until today which is already 10th of Jan 2018, its been almost near 3 weeks day I'm still not receiving my machine back from them. They still unable to get it done with follow ups on the machine status regardless I've called in numerous time and pressurized them over the phone. Nothing from them but only knows on replying "Let me check with my technician" or "will let you know afterwards"
Such a lousy, untrustable & unreliable scamming company, i'll never recommend this to anyone and never trust their advertising promises. Hope this could be a good review for those who looking for Kawan U services.

My Electrolux Dryer had problems (a sponge came out) and I was looking for someone to repair my dryer and found this contact on google (Pusat Perkhidmatan Elektrik KAWAN).
I called and spoke to a man (so called repair person) and told him about my dryer problem. He quoted me approximately RM 200 (inspection fee RM 40 and to replace the sponge would cost RM 130) and told me he MUST bring the said Dryer back to the shop for inspection and repair.
On the day when he arranged two of his staff to collect the said Dryer, his staff mentioned that the dryer roller might be faulty (which could be what’s causing the sponge of the dryer to came out). His staff mentioned someone from the shop will call me after inspection and let me know what are the other problems and the cost to repair before they proceed (which i agreed to it). So they took my Dryer back and a deposit of RM 100.
However, two days later, the man I spoke to (so called repair person) called me and told me that my dryer is almost done where they changed/fixed another two problems found in my dryer which is the roller and the capacitor and the all in cost is RM 645 (including labour fee).
I was shocked! I asked him why did he changed/fixed those new found problems before letting me know and he started to get mad at me. I told him with the cost he is charging me to fix my dryer, I might as well get a new dryer and told him that he can keep my ‘fixed’ dryer. As soon as I mentioned that, he became aggressive (like a gangster), raised his voice at me, scolded me with all sorts of nonsense and blamed me for something that I don’t even understand.
What surprised me further was, after all the shouting, he told me he hasn’t fixed the other found problems (which is the roller and the capacitor) and said he will send the dryer back to me and demand that I pay the sponge I requested and agreed to change. How dishonest?! If I didn’t said to him to keep the dryer and don’t have to send it back to me, he will probably just fixed it, send it back to me, pretend nothing happen and get business out of his dishonesty.
When they finally sent my dryer back, I settled the balance of RM 119 which is the cost to change the dryer sponge. The initial deposit of RM 100 I’ve paid became the repair fee .
I rarely write reviews. Im writing and sharing my bad experience because I do not want anyone else to go through what i went through. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND PUSAT PERKHIDMATAN ELEKTRIK KAWAN.
Dont use their service because they really scam people. They are not using original parts to fixed any electrical products instead they used all the used or second hand parts to fix. That is why most of the customers will have the same problem after 1 or 2 months fixed. For refrigerator, they usually will add only the gas and will claimed to customer other parts have problem and will charged unreasonable price to customer.
DO NOT SEND YOUR STUFF FOR THEM TO REPAIR / SERVICE!!!!
I'm one of the victim from this company as well. And they do have several different type of mobile phone number, and they have took my refrigerator and said leaking due to need to do service and they need 3 days to do it.
May 16, 2020 - They will charged for a RM60 checkup fee if client didn't plan to let them service. So they came to check and said the refrigerator just need to do service and no parts was spoilt, and the charges will be RM380. So asked me to decide want to service or not. So I have agreed on the service and get them to come another day to take the refrigerator due to still have lots of foods inside. Then I do asked them is there any extra charges on the pick up fee and they said no. Then I paid for a RM100 deposit and they gave me the receipt with WENG SOON ELECTRICAL SERVICE CENTRE (001672678-U) located at No.23, Jalan 10/125D, Taman Desa Petaling, 57100 K.L. H/P: 016-280 2046.
May 19, 2020 - Called them to come to pick up. and according to the 016-9778863 - name Meng, they will do a full service by washing the whole refrigerator inside and service it. When their people came, they took out all the parts and just took the refrigerator, so I asked why their technician took out without taking back all the parts to clean it as Meng said, then Meng replied if want to clean inside and service need to paid full fee which is 300++ then I told him they charged me for a RM380, so should means include all the cleaning inside as well right? Then the guy said miscommunication among his workman and I, the money I agreed earlier on was include the pick up fee of RM80. So I start to questioned them how come when I asked and their people said is all included...Then the guy said he will talk to his boss and give me a discount.
May 21, 2020 - 016-9778863 Meng Whatsapp me at 8:21AM and asked me to pay them RM180 balance for the service fee. So I asked them is my refrigerator done and can send me back by the day. Then they said ok. So they sent me back my refrigerator and asked for the balance with the receipt from PUSAT PERKHIDMATAN ELEKTRIK KAWAN (002198364-P) located at the same address with WENG SOON ELECTRICAL SERVICE CENTRE, then without install back all the inner accessories parts and leave. Then after they leave only my mom saw how come the refrigerator was bump and with a long scratch on the side. So I immediately snap pic and sent to Meng via Whatsapp and try to call him and he didn't pick up. So I call the phone number from the receipt also did not pick up and cut my line. I do leave them a message said that if they ignore me without a reason, I will go and report police and kpdnhep (https://e-aduan.kpdnhep.gov.my/) for this scam case.
Meng repaired my Beko freezer in early July, replacing 2 parts. We were charged Rm600 for that.
However, the freezer broke down after hardly 1 month.
We reported it to Meng. It took a couple of days before his staff came and took back the freezer on July 18.
Since then, I have texted him and called him repeatedly but to no avail. The reason (or was it excuse) Meng gave was that they are still waiting for the relevant parts to come.
Today is 27 September, and my Beko freezer has been away for more than 2 months.

After 3 working days, i call them back to ask for the progress and when can it be done, the boss said can deliver the next day, ok, it is good, so i wait the next day for delivery but it didn't come, the boss just said cannot make it after i call him. So i wait for another day, but on the other day, the boss said the lorry have problem, it is time to service the lorry, if u know the lorry have problem, u should inform me earlier but not make me keep waiting! He just answer me, my job is to repair your washing machine, not doing service to you! I am like wtf!
The next day, i waited for half day to get my washing machine delivered, i call and ask the boss where is my washing mechine, he answer me:"u want wait or not? If u want to wait then u wait!!" i am so fed up and i ask him back, how can u treat your customer like that, he answer:"i am like that, next time u dun find me anymore!" how rude is him!
At last the washing machine is arrived and i call him to double confirm his back account number and i want to inform him that i would like to try and make sure the condition of my washing machine is ok before i pay the balance to him, he shout at me and keep repeat: "pay now! Pay now!"

Hi all, I also fall victim into this scam because I just want my washing machine to be repaired asap. I did not receive any news about my washing machine for more than 4 months now. I feel very disappointed that this happened. I just want to share the two workers that came and took my washing machine away. I am lucky because my condo requires every contractors to register and their IC is being scanned. I got their full name and IC no. If you see this workers anywhere, just report them immediately. The workers are MUHAMAD AINUDDIN BIN AZIZ (881103-03-6157) and AMIZUL BIN JOHARI (890309-13-5219). Be careful also because they tend to look around the house as if they are observing. I am lucky that I have good security system here. Please do take care and do not be cheated or scammed like me.
This is the strategy that they use to scam the customer. 1. To inspect your electrical appliance they go to your house, this will cost some money (RM 80) even though they don't do anything other than checking. 2. They told you that the cost of repair and spare parts are RMXXX. If you agree, they can offset the inspection cost. 3. They cannot do the repair in place. So they will take your electrical appliances to their shop. 4. They take a very long time to repair 2-3 weeks. 5. They return your appliances after some time, but after 2-3 days it broke again. They come to inspect and now telling you different parts are faulty. They gave you another quote for another parts. They take back the appliances. They took another round of 2-3 weeks. This time they tell you they cannot find the parts. 6. To send back your washing machine you need to pay transport charges RM80-100. But your washing machine cannot use, they also offer your RM20 to scrap the machine. 7. You can complain or curse or screaming on the phone whatsapp to the guy. they guy will said not his problem anymore. He will also record your call without your permission. 8. End up, you will spend money and they got your washing machine for free. They will salvage the parts and sell it to the next stupid customer.
I hv a bad experience with this shop. They came to my house and checked my washing machine. I was told on the spot repair cost is below rm500, they took the washing machine back to their shop and repair. They requested rm150 deposit to repair the washing machine and i agreed to pay to them. After 5 5 days, they called me and told me the washing machine need another parts to replace. Total repair cost rm1100. I disagreed with the repair cost. They said they will send back the washing machine to me and forfited my rm150 deposit. I agreed on that. The worst part of the shop was, they delivered the washing machine without my confirmation and i was not at home. They left my wshing machine outside my house gate under the sun and rain. This is really irresponsible shop and the owner was super unfriendly. He scold me and said is not their responsible to make sure customer is at home or not. THIS KAWAN SHOP IS REALLY A BIG SCAM. AFTER THIS INCIDENT, I CHECKED MANY BAD REVIEWS ON THIS SHOP

6. To send back your washing machine you need to pay transport charges RM80-100. But your washing machine cannot use, they also offer your RM20 to scrap the machine.
7. You can complain or curse or screaming on the phone whatsapp to the guy. they guy will said not his problem anymore. He will also record your call without your permission.
8. End up, you will spend money and they got your washing machine for free. They will salvage the parts and sell it to the next stupid customer.

DeleteI hv a bad experience with this shop. They came to my house and checked my washing machine. I was told on the spot repair cost is below rm500, they took the washing machine back to their shop and repair. They requested rm150 deposit to repair the washing machine and i agreed to pay to them. After 5 5 days, they called me and told me the washing machine need another parts to replace. Total repair cost rm1100. I disagreed with the repair cost. They said they will send back the washing machine to me and forfited my rm150 deposit. I agreed on that. The worst part of the shop was, they delivered the washing machine without my confirmation and i was not at home. They left my wshing machine outside my house gate under the sun and rain. This is really irresponsible shop and the owner was super unfriendly. He scold me and said is not their responsible to make sure customer is at home or not. THIS KAWAN SHOP IS REALLY A BIG SCAM. AFTER THIS INCIDENT, I CHECKED MANY BAD REVIEWS ON THIS SHOP
